C S Liew is a founder-led agribusiness executive, board director, and strategic advisor with over four
decades of international experience spanning agrochemicals, specialty agricultural inputs, and
emerging-market agribusiness. He is the Founder and Managing Director of Pacific Agriscience Pte

Ltd, a Singapore-based company established in 1998, operating across Asia-Pacific, Australia, New-
Zealand, Europe, Middle East and the Americas.

CS has built and scaled businesses across complex regulatory environments, with particular

expertise in specialty and patented agricultural chemical products, product registrations, and cross-
border market entry strategies. Over the course of his career, he has led regional expansions,

structured and governed joint ventures, advised on mergers and acquisitions, and served on the
boards of various companies, joint ventures, and farmer-owned enterprises.
Prior to founding Pacific Agriscience, CS held senior regional leadership and board roles at Nufarm
(Asia) Pte Ltd, where he expanded regional revenues from approximately US$2.3 million to over
US$23 million within five years and spearheaded market entry into China and Southeast Asia. Earlier
in his career, he held progressive senior roles at Uniroyal Chemical Company Inc., covering market
development, technical management, and regional leadership across South and Southeast Asia.
In addition to his operating roles, CS is frequently engaged as an industry advisor to multinational
corporations, investment banks, and international knowledge-broker networks on agribusiness
strategy, regulatory dynamics, and emerging-market opportunities. His advisory and transactional
experience includes engagements involving ChemChina, Sinochem, InVivo (France), Macquarie
Capital (Australia), Japanese agrochemical manufacturers, and US-based agricultural inputs
distributors.
CS has served on the boards of Sotus International (Thailand), Opus One Cambodia, Primaxa
and Profarmer (New Zealand), Sirene Call Pty Ltd (Australia), Meghmani Organics (India)’s
Singapore listed entity and various Nufarm subsidiaries. He is a regular contributor to Agribusiness
Global and Agropages, where he writes on global agrochemical industry trends, providing invaluable
insights. He is also a council member of World Agriculture Forum, a global platform connecting
diverse stakeholders to drive sustainable agricultural development.
CS holds a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy and Integrated Pest Management from Iowa State
University (USA), a Diploma in Marketing from Institute of Marketing, UK and has completed
executive education programs at INSEAD. He is fluent in English and conversant in Chinese, Malay,
and Indonesian.
